ActivCure's NASA patented wound healing device uses electrical activity to facilitate enhanced tissue repair. The device is manufactured via an electrospinning process through the fabrication of Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), creating a white gauze that promotes wound healing and provides a barrier against infection. PVDF is piezoelectric when poled during electrospinning and therefore generates low level electrical stimulation when heat or movement is applied.
