Advaray is a pre-clinical stage medical device company based in Charlottesville, Virginia (BrachyFoam, Inc d/b/a Advaray). BrachyGel, the first product to be developed by Advaray, is currently being evaluated in a clinical trial at the University of Virginia (with expansion to University of Pittsburgh planned). The company is funded by STTR awards from the National Cancer Institute, as well as a CRCF award, and is progressing rapidly toward commercialization. Advaray is currently planning a Series A round for late 2021 to support commercialization of BrachyGel after regulatory clearance.
Advaray products will be inspired by unmet clinical needs in image-guided brachytherapy and designed to improve patient care from the perspectives of both patients and their physicians. Our core technology resulted from collaborations between UVA and Virginia Tech faculty and the company’s future growth will prioritize contributing to the economic growth and job opportunities within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
