So what do Australians do when they face adversity? They improvise, adapt, and innovate. As a husband, father, and caring member of the community, I saw that some family and friends were facing extra stress in their lives due to lack of resources or inadequate safety, so I innovated. Speaking to emergency doctors, nurses, community workers, I heard the extra stress they were encountering on a daily basis brought on by the pandemic. I wanted to bring peace of mind to those I cared about. Having the experience of designing products for Australian manufacturing over 15 years led me to create Aluvio's first product: a safe, reliable and reusable face shield. The face shield was developed to relieve some of the pressures our healthcare workers face on a daily basis. Simple to use, easy to clean and intuitive to handle. The Aluvio face shield has given peace of mind and reassurance to my friends and family, and now I am passionate about it doing the same for you. 2020 has created a new awareness of good hygiene practices and how easily diseases can spread. Keeping staff, patients and customers safe is more prominent in our daily lives and a face shield is a great way to do that. I am proud that we have recently re-established our connection and dependence on Australian made products. The quality and reliability of local production is back, taking precedence over imported products. We are not pretending to be a big and dominant player in the market. We're not. Manufacturing in South East Queensland, we care about the health and safety of fellow Australians and improving their physical and mental well-being.
