BabySoJao Mattress was conceptualized and invented in India the by two founding members of Baby So Jao in February, 2018 after over 18 months of research, prototyping and testing it over 200 babies between the age of 0-3 years. Not to mention, Dr. G.P. Kaushal (President of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Delhi State) has been our God-father and without his guidance during the research phase, this product would not have been possible.
In February, 2018, Baby So Jao was incorporated in Delhi-NCR and we started mass manufacturing in the month of March. After a huge success and extraordinary response with our online sales we soon realised that we need to build a conventional distribution network to have better penetration in the Indian market as online sales comprise only less than 3% of all sales in the Indian economy.
As of end of October, 18’ we have started operations in about 20 cities spread over 7 states and are targeted to be in over 100 cities and additional 5 counties by end of next quarter. Our year-to-date sales exceed 8000 units. Currently we sell one unit every 15 minutes. As a company we are experiencing a 300%+ month-to-month growth rate.
