Blueacre Technology was established in 2006 by Dr David Gillen in Dundalk, Ireland. The company’s mission was to harness the potential of laser technology for highly accurate micromachining and processing, primarily for the medical device industry.
Over the last 12 years, Blueacre has developed a unique expertise in lasers, micromachining, vision systems and software interfacing, providing its customers with highly sophisticated solutions to the most demanding engineering problems.
Through its experience with customers and R&D activities, Blueacre Technology has developed a number of key specialist competencies:
• Harnessing the potential of the latest laser technology developments to meet the complex and specialist engineering challenges facing its customers.
• Design and build of sophisticated, highly specialized laser machines based on in-house, proprietary know-how, able to carry out complex processes.
• The ability to process highly complex parts with accuracy, working at a micron scale.
• Particular expertise in working with tubular structures – rigid and flexible, and ability to work with a variety of materials, particularly polymers, metals and alloys
