About
BOYDSense is a French medical technology company based in Toulouse, founded in 2015. The company focuses on non-invasive health monitoring, particularly for chronic disease management, starting with diabetes. Its flagship product, the Lassie™ Breath Analyzer, is a pocket-sized device that measures volatile organic compounds in exhaled breath to estimate blood glucose levels. This innovative approach provides a painless alternative to traditional blood glucose meters, aiming to enhance user comfort and reduce medical waste. The technology behind BOYDSense is inspired by the ability of dogs to detect diseases through scent. The company is developing a proprietary algorithm to translate breath patterns into accurate glucose estimates, with ongoing clinical studies to validate its effectiveness. While diabetes management is the initial focus, BOYDSense plans to expand its platform to monitor other chronic conditions, such as cancer and asthma. With significant funding and a commitment to scientific rigor, BOYDSense is dedicated to making health monitoring more accessible and affordable for individuals and healthcare professionals alike.
