We are engaged in the fight against cancer. At Cellda (formerly MM18 Medical) we focus on digital pathology and computer assisted analysis of tissue sections of human cancer, initially prostate cancer. Globally prostatic adenocarcinoma is the second most frequent malignancy after lung cancer in men, about 1,300,000 cases and causing about 360,000 deaths per year. Accurate histological diagnosis of prostatic adenocarcinoma is an important issue worldwide. Our aim is to obtain reproducible, correct and objective histo-pathological diagnoses replacing microscopic examinations. Our product CelldaTM offers clearer indication of pre cancer stages. It also reduces intra- and interobserver variability in lab results to better serve the remitting urologist. The method also reduces overall costs and avoids under- and over-diagnosis.
