Circuport provides a safe and effective vascular access system for the 1.5 million hemodialysis patients worldwide. Circuport will significantly reduce the number of life-threatening complications resulting from dialysis catheters, thus improving the quality of life of the patient and reducing healthcare costs by over $1 billion per year. Our patented implantable port is attached directly to the blood vessel with a simple commonly performed procedure. A specially designed disposable needle allows safe, repeated (3x/week) access into vessels and reduces the frequency of infection and thrombosis caused by dialysis catheters. Our initial target market encompasses over 100,000 patients who must use dialysis catheters or other atypical forms of vascular access and typically die within 2 years. Circuport intends to give them a better access to life.
