SIDS stands for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It is the unexplained loss of an infant within the first 12 months. SIDS cannot be prevented, however there are a variety of factors that have been observed in SIDS patietnts. Our team is comprised of a multi-disciplinary group of students at the University of Calgary, as part of Innovation for Health's 2025 design challenge. We are designing a device to monitor these risk factors and provide real time notifications to increase sleep safety and promote mental well being for parents. Follow along to see where we go!
