Currently, we are looking to gain support and develop a transformational inhaler approach to greatly improve adherence in persistent-smoking COPD patients. Although frequently prescribed separately for COPD, smoking cessation and bronchodilator agents are prescribed as independent therapies. In a combined therapy they offer potentially dramatic benefits over separate use. Our approach (and patent PCT/GB2010/050590) covers their simultaneous use within one inhaler.
