Dexcom Ireland - Athenry is the first European manufacturing facility for Dexcom, a leader in real-time continuous glucose monitoring technology for diabetes management. Located in Athenry, County Galway, this state-of-the-art plant will produce millions of continuous glucose monitor sensors each year for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa markets. The facility represents a significant investment of €300 million, aimed at expanding manufacturing capacity outside the U.S. and Malaysia. It is expected to create around 1,000 high-tech jobs in various fields, along with 500 construction jobs during its development. The site will utilize highly automated production processes and focus on sustainability. Dexcom Ireland - Athenry also emphasizes community engagement, highlighted by a 12-year partnership with Connacht Rugby, which includes renaming ‘The Sportsground’ to ‘Dexcom Stadium.’ This facility plays a vital role in supporting Dexcom’s mission to enhance diabetes management while contributing to the local economy.
