They had identified several segments but were unsure of their attractiveness, willingness to pay, and reimbursement. Action: I researched possible reimbursement codes for the device and services and developed a series of different business models that might work using those codes. I then fleshed out unit economics to show them how they could afford to generate revenue without necessarily needed to get a CPT code for their device. Result: The client was exposed to new ways to structure their business that they had not considered. They were also able to understand the different levels of ambition required to implement them. They now have options for faster time to market and were able to remove several strategies from consideration. Reimbursement, strategy and revenue plan for eating disorder startup Problem: A European based company wanted to explore launching in the US market. But they needed a viable way to get reimbursement, an understanding of CAC and LTV, and a realistic way to get to market without spending 5 years. Action: I developed 3-4 possible business strategies that would work in the US healthcare system.
