About
Diversity by Doing (DxD) HealthTech is an initiative founded by Stanford Biodesign and Fogarty Innovation, aimed at enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the health technology sector. Established about five years ago, DxD offers various programs that support individuals throughout their careers in healthtech, from community college students to company leaders. The initiative provides programs such as Pathways in Health Technology, which introduces STEM students to healthtech careers, and the Healthtech Exploration Workshop, which enriches the internship experiences of diverse college interns. Additionally, DxD facilitates Speed Mentoring for early- to mid-career women and minorities, and offers seminars for company leaders to help operationalize DEI within their organizations. The Affiliate Program assists small and startup companies in implementing meaningful DEI actions. DxD emphasizes the importance of diverse perspectives in improving medical outcomes and actively works to empower change agents in healthtech. Its efforts benefit underrepresented students, professionals seeking mentorship, and healthtech companies looking to integrate inclusive practices. Supported by a network of volunteers and industry partners, DxD is committed to fostering inclusive innovation in the healthtech ecosystem.
