efyian's goal is to improve patient health through rapid accurate infectious disease diagnosis at the point of care via reliable, affordable, user-friendly molecular diagnostic testing devices. Currently, tests for many infections are sent to a central laboratory, and results are returned in 3-5 days. We are developing a molecular diagnostic device that allows doctors to get accurate results right away in their office, which enables timely appropriate treatment and reduces transmission. In the future, our off-the-shelf device may enable consumers to self-test at home.
