About
The ENDOLEASE project, a spin-off initiative from University Hospital Würzburg, aims to revolutionize drug delivery and minimize unwanted side effects. Conventional systemic drug administration often causes adverse effects in other organs, reducing its overall efficacy. ENDOLEASE addresses this issue by developing a resorbable implant that is inserted directly into the artery. This implant delivers active substances straight into the bloodstream, ensuring targeted and effective therapy, particularly for conditions like heart attacks, strokes, and cancer.
