With the Esophageal String Test™, physicians can easily and routinely monitor patients who suffer from eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), without endoscopy or biopsy. The test utilizes the EnteroTracker®, a small capsule that collects fluid/mucous (liquid biopsy) from the upper gastrointestinal tract of adults or pediatric patients. The sample is analyzed using a lab-developed test, and results are provided back to the physician.
The Esophageal String Test™ is available for sale and use in the USA but requires a prescription. Patients should ask their doctor if the Esophageal String Test™ is right for them.
