EpiGuard is a Norwegian medical technology company founded in 2015 by healthcare professionals from Oslo University Hospital, along with partners Inven2, Eker Group, and Hansen Protection. The company focuses on developing and manufacturing advanced medical equipment for the safe treatment and transportation of patients with highly infectious diseases. The flagship product, the EpiShuttle, is an award-winning patient isolation transport unit designed to provide a sealed environment for contagious patients. Developed in response to the Ebola epidemic, the EpiShuttle allows for safe transport without the need for cumbersome personal protective equipment. It is certified for air, ground, and sea travel and enables medical care to be administered during transport. EpiGuard's solutions are utilized by healthcare providers, emergency medical services, and military medical units in over 30 countries, with more than 300 EpiShuttles in operation. The company manufactures its products in Norway and has received support from European innovation programs to scale production.
