Faucetworks is building the Virtual Neurologist, a medical device that speaks directly with, and examines, patients who have neurological emergencies but no access to a human neurologist. When used in ambulances and the emergency departments of underserved hospitals, the Virtual Neurologist rapidly diagnoses the patient, directing ambulance transport of the patient to an appropriate hospital and enabling any hospital to provide basic emergency treatments. By diagnosing neurological emergencies at the earliest opportunity, the Virtual Neurologist accelerates subsequent treatment that saves brain and saves lives.
