Gaudi Vascular, Inc. is a start-up company committed to designing and marketing neuroendovascular devices, which more safely and accurately treat intracranial aneurysms, as compared to existing technology. Rupture of an intracranial aneurysm is unpredictable and devastating; half of victims die, and half of the survivors have a significant stroke. One aneurysm rupture costs $200,000 to manage, and the aggregate lifetime healthcare cost of these patients exceeds $3 billion in the U.S. annually. Current aneurysm treatments are unsatisfactory due to high complication rates and frequent need for repeat treatment. Gaudi Vascular is developing a product line to significantly decrease the complication risk of endovascular aneurysm treatment and nearly eliminate treatment failures.
