German Healthcare Export Group

GHE – the Medical Technology Network The GHE is a healthcare association which represents and promotes the interests of 51 German medical technology companies. The members span a vast array of products and services. Starting with stethoscopes through CT equipment to hospital IT, suppliers from all product segments are represented in the German Healthcare Export Group. Together the members have the knowledge and experience to provide a hospital with everything needed. Membership Structure Among the 51 member companies, global players like Siemens Medical Solutions, B. Braun and Dräger Medical as well as medium-scale enterprises like Meiko, Tunstall or seca are to be found. The more different the sizes of enterprises, the more varied the product range: The greater part of the GHE companies are active in electrical and medical technology, followed by those dealing with and manufacturing medical commodities and expendable items, physiotherapy, orthopaedics, laboratory processing, services and publications. Besides, areas like rescue equipment, medicine for emergency purposes, diagnostic products, IT and communication technology are also represented in the GHE. Altogether the German Healthcare Export Group stands for 80 per cent of the German export volume in medical technology. Germany is much in international demand: Alongside the US and Japan, it belongs to the group of leading global providers.
