HASSON AFRICA has been operating in the DRC since 1936 and is unique in terms of its experience and dynamism. We have cultivated a wide variety of business interests throughout these years, and presently we are into: Real Estate and Trading. Our real estate can be considered among the most precious assets in DRC, offering all guaranty and legal security. At present, we are the biggest retail chain operating in the DRC with a remarkably wide range of more than 25,000 articles. We are the exclusive distributor in the DRC for 22 major international brands.

We currently operate 4 major commercial centers in Kinshasa, all ideally located in prime areas to cover the important business area of the city. Our 2 biggest hypermarkets, ‘Plaza Village’ and ‘Espace Hasson’, are amongst the largest in Central Africa with respective surface areas of 23,000 m² and 6,500 m². Each of these hypermarkets is at the heart of a shopping center which includes many stores, services and other amusement facilities. They are constantly enlarged and updated including new extensions of the commercial area, the addition of several stores, restaurants, banks and telecom centers. Our 2 other supermarkets are ‘Kintambo Commercial Centre’ and ‘Hasson House’ with areas of 2,500 m² and 1,200 m² respectively, both located in the busiest locations in Kinshasa city.
All our retail outlets and warehouses are the properties owned by our group real estate companies.

HASSON AFRICA’s hypermarkets were selected by government officials to showcase the development of the country to various delegates and diplomats. Our shopping centers have secured parking areas for the customers and are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras. Our retail stores cater to both upper and mass-market clients. We also offer fidelity cards with many advantages to all our loyal customers, on all their purchase. They are managed by professionals specialized in retail trade with expertise in the local conditions and environment.

Distribution:
We distribute throughout the DRC directly to a wide network of loyal customers and sub-distributors located in all the major cities. Our product line is immense and we are systematically covering as per the beat plan all the channels including Supermarkets, Wholesale, Boutiques, Grocery, HoReCa, Petrol Stations and Open markets. We have a very large warehousing capacity with five warehouses which supply the goods to all our stores and distribution clients. Three distribution centers serve a dual purpose: “Cash & Carry” sales to clients with urgency, and facilitate speedy deliveries to nearby clients in order to avoid delays caused by traffic. Our large fleet of trucks and delivery vans allow us to service all our distribution clients. Our distribution team manages the sales and promotional activities of all our exclusive brands. We are constantly organizing various marketing events & activities, including consumer and retail promotions to build the brand awareness and increase the depth and width of distribution. At a reasonable price and standard quality, we are able to prepare all the POSM materials in Kinshasa directly, including posters, leaflets, wobblers, shelf talkers, pull-up, flange, road standee, flow sign boards, flex boards, display stands, banners etc. Our two hypermarkets and two supermarkets ensure the best visibility for all our exclusive brands and also serve as a platform to launch and promote the products.
