Hathman Medical Products produces the World's only "Hathback" Wound Accessing Bandage/Protectors with Reclosable Lid. It is patented, FDA approved and Medicare certified. Most importantly approved and certified by the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) and their DAPA program in which Hathman Medical Products is a DAPA holder. The protector allows the wound site to be viewed, cleaned, medicated, dressed, and re-dressed without removing the bandage/protector from the skin via a reclosable lid. The Hathback is being used in wound/burn centers, hospitals and surgery for wound care, diabetic ulcers, caesarian sections and for feeding tubes, ostomy and IV sites. Currently the Hathback is being used by the Armed Services in their smallpox vaccination programs and small field wounds. The Hathback is an alternative to 3M's 'Tegaderm' product which does not open and re-close. The bandage is distributed by two major distributors: Owens & Minor and Cardinal Medical Supplies.
