Hibernicor, LLC manufactures a heart preservation device, Asporto, that allows for the prolonged preservation of the donor heart in the context of cardiac transplantation. Hibernicor has finalized the pre-clnical research protocol necessary for 510k approval through the FDA and has received a humanitarian device exemption. Additionally, Hibernicor developed Praesto, a pre-clinical electronic record system. This system was implimented in the Experimental Surgical Services at the University of Minnesota in 2008.
