HVT Medical's device performs a procedure to enable TAVI in TAVI implantation. Tens of thousands of patients needing aortic valve replacement are unable to undergo TAVI due to risk of the aortic cusp subsequently blocking a coronary artery. Currently approximately 20% of all patients are contraindicated to the TAVI procedure and could be helped with HVT's Splitter device.
