About

Founded in 2019, Incando Therapeutics is a medical technology firm developing light-based therapies for intractable, hard to treat cancers. Incando is currently targeting brain cancer (Glioblastoma) with a view towards applying our solutions to other variants of the disease. Recognising the established MedTech ecosystem in Singapore and how the nation has, in recent years, become a hotbed for the MedTech sector, the firm seeks to develop novel and safer solutions for cancer therapy, complementing current methods that are already in use. Incando Therapeutics' proprietary technology utilises wireless powering – jointly developed at Stanford University and the National University of Singapore (NUS) – to drive phototherapy for the long-term treatment of cancers. This is done with implantable light devices that can be controlled via wireless technology to dispense on-demand treatments directly to tumours. This approach is much safer than current treatments and brings forth an important new tool in the battle against complex and long-term cancers. The firm has partnered with top neurosurgeons at the National University Hospital in Singapore to refine the implants and develop treatment procedures towards clinical testing. The firm successfully raised its seed round in 2020, and has a presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the US.
