Infection Prevention for You, IP4U, pursues eliminating catheter-associated urinary tract infections, CAUTI, through new promising catheter design.
IP4U was founded and employed two interdisciplinary university bachelor projects in collaboration between the Aarhus School of Medicin and Aarhus School of Engineering involving departments of mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering as well as Nephrological Department, University Hospital Skejby.
After continued extensive work, we brought this project to the Technology Transfer Office, AU, where the patent search was initiated and conflicted with existing patent filings. As a company, we were strongly encouraged to make minor tweaks and reapply.
