The new MEDICAL KiSS Ankle System is a soft Kangaroo leather tape/brace hybrid for ankles. KiSS method is a ‘new paradigm’ in Ankle Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation & Regeneration, started by Craig J Hubbard. Craig has a background in Engineering, Rehabilitation, Biomechanics & as a player in the Australian NBL, & spent over 20 years working with Ankle Surgeons, Australian Sports teams & athletes like the Australian Wallabies, Cricket, AFL, NRL, MLB, NFL and NBA.
Craig has fostered research relationships with numerous Universities, led through the developing Industry Partnership with Sydney University and Dr Claire Hiller & her colleagues of the International Ankle Consortium (and others). See posts
Since releasing at FC Barca in June 2018 at the FIFA/FCB Isokinetic conference, KiSS has achieved or is developing sales and distribution in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Germany. KiSS is an ankle system respected, prescribed, fitted AND SOLD by Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeons, and since release, KiSS has been able to introduce the system to several NBA, MLB and now US Soccer teams, and is getting ready for the NFL season.
Is KiSS the ‘cure’ for a $100b + global health problem ?
KiSS X is a 90 gm tape/brace hybrid Kangaroo leather ankle system (Size M) that will virtually eliminate the ‘common ankle sprain’ from professional sports and mitigate liability for the short and long term costs of ankle injuries in Professional sports. After all, in a court of law, we only have to be confident we are ‘safer’ than what is being used now…..tape mostly? Right ? Easy !
Elite Doctors & Surgeons in professional sports seem to have learned from ‘concussion’, and arguably the long-term disability and costs are possibly more for ankles? It’s just that ‘we’ have come to accept sprains as part of sport & life!
‘Wearable technology’ being built into the functional KiSS has excited NBA performance experts & researchers alike. Monitor the ‘drive train’!?
