LUCENTIC is an innovative, revolutionary medical device startup, aiming to address the vast market of Ultrasound-guided needle interventional procedures. Currently, there are major barriers in performing these procedures due to the inability of the physician to see and place the needle, as well as the US transducer correctly at all times - Poor visualization of the needle increases complications and procedures take longer, thus increasing exposure time for infection and risk for bleeding. Our technology enables physicians to track, highlight and maneuver the needle throughout the procedure - simply, cost-effectively and without changing the customary techniques. Compared to many competitors, our technology includes affordable attachments to any common ultrasound transducer and standard needles. LUCENTIC is composed of multidisciplinary team including doctors, engineers from different fields and senior advisors as scientists and well-known physicians.
