MEDfactura’s drug delivery strategy is based on the use of micro- and nano technologies for effective delivery of therapies through assisted breathing units, including continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices. Using this approach, the company expects to significantly improve efficacy and compliance for treatment of chronic conditions associated with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure. We envision continuous delivery of low-dose anticancer drugs may benefit patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pneumonia and lung cancer.
MEDfactura holds patent applications over the use of disposable containers pre-filled with ultra-pure water for use in CPAP devices and anticipates to fully penetrate the market in 2018. The Company has a low capital structure, semi-virtual business model with low cash burn, high-profile collaborators and a fast-track development program.
Products
CPAP Hydration Fluid – This fluid is safer than manufacturer recommended distilled water for use in CPAP hydration chambers. The single serving size is designed for easier use while at home or while traveling. The purity of this fluid reduces the growth of bacteria and fungus that can cause CPAP users to become sick due to continued exposure. Reducing microorganism growth will also reduce unpleasant “moldy,” smells and/or tastes associated with contaminated equipment.
