Medical Devices Cluster Costa Rica

The Medical Devices Cluster Costa Rica is a collaborative initiative that brings together over 90 global medical device companies, suppliers, and local entrepreneurs. Established in 2019 with support from the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency (CINDE), the cluster aims to enhance Costa Rica's role as a leader in manufacturing, design, research, and innovation within the medical devices sector. Costa Rica has become a significant hub for medical device manufacturing, hosting operations from many of the world's top MedTech Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). The cluster focuses on four strategic pillars: talent development, research and development, strengthening local supply chains, and optimizing logistics for global distribution. Member companies produce a diverse range of advanced medical devices across various subsectors, contributing to Costa Rica's position as the second largest medical device exporter in Latin America. The cluster fosters collaboration and innovation, driving economic growth in the medical device industry.
