MedTech Talent Accelerator

The MedTech Talent Accelerator is a national training program in Canada focused on developing talent for the medical technology sector. It collaborates with major academic institutions, including the University of Toronto and McGill University, as well as industry partners like MedTech Canada. The program aims to address the shortage of skilled employees in the field by providing graduate students with industry-focused training through three main pillars: Explore, Engage, and Experience. Participants benefit from R&D innovation seminars, networking opportunities, and hands-on internships at Canadian medical technology companies. The program emphasizes professional development, offering mentorship and training on regulatory compliance and market readiness. Funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the MedTech Talent Accelerator prepares graduate students for careers in medical technology while supporting companies with a pipeline of skilled interns and future employees.
