About
We are building the world's smallest steerable microcatheter with the aim to improve patient outcome. What are steerable microcatheters? Steerable microcatheters are highly specialized medical devices used primarily in interventional radiology, cardiology, and neurovascular procedures. Their defining feature is active steerability, allowing precise navigation through complex and tortuous vascular anatomy. Key features include: * Steerability: The tip of the catheter can be actively deflected or steered in real-time by the operator. * Micro Scale: Outer diameters typically range from 1.2–2.8 Fr (0.4–0.9 mm), designed to access distal and highly branched vascular networks, especially in the brain, heart, and peripheral limbs. * Flexibility & Trackability: Must balance pushability, torque control, and tip softness to navigate safely without causing vessel trauma. * Imaging Compatibility: Radiopaque markers are often included to assist with fluoroscopic guidance.
