The Merebit Foundation was established in 2021. The main goal of the Foundation is to develop easy-to-use, technically advanced medical diagnostic devices that can primarily help in places in the world where it is difficult to get a quality and specialised medical care. These devices will also help to increase the frequency of examinations, especially preventive ones, in order to catch de-veloping or worsening diseases earlier. Currently, the foundation’s team is working on an artificial lung, a system for teaching and testing medical staff operating lung ventilators and work is also beginning on a skin cancer detection device.
The Foundation team can cover the complete product development, from mechanics, electronics to software design, including relevant clinical trials and certifications.
The Foundation has its own measurement and testing laboratory (microbiology, analytical chemis-try, process and material testing, etc.), facilities for its own prototype workshop (CNC milling ma-chine, lathe, 3D printing, TIG welding, etc.), and its own laboratory for measurement and devel-opment of electronic circuits.
The Foundation cooperates closely with the Brno University of Technology and Masaryk Universi-ty.
Outside our main direction in medical diagnostic (where it takes years of development for each device) we are generating a number of other concepts. The intention is to fund the foundation through the exchange of these pre-validated ideas for a financial donation to the foundation.
