MoveoMed is a personally-managed German healthcare company offering adequate hygiene solutions for hospitals and healthcare settings. The company, based in Radebeul nearby Dresden, was founded in 2012 and has set itself the target to contribute to the improvement of hygiene especially in sanitary areas. The product area "sanitary hygiene" includes the production and marketing of the sonothermal disinfection device "MoveoSiphon ST24" for the use in sanitary facilities in hospitals and healthcare settings as well as accessoires like an antimicrobial drain valve and a faucet aerator. The MoveoSiphon ST24 (EU-Patent 1 159 493) has been developed by the company Biorec as hygienic siphon under the brand name "Biorec". The aim of the development was the prevention of nosocomial infections by avoiding the production of infectious aerosols in clinical sanitary facilities. The first hygienic siphons were tested at the university hospital in Tübingen and in a long-term study at "Oberlausitz-Klinikum Bischofswerda" with the result of a decrease in nosocomial infections. In 2012 MoveoMed GmbH took over the hygienic siphon which is since then marketed under the brand name "MoveoSiphon ST24" and continuously developed. On the German market MoveoMed is offering further hygiene products within cooperations with French companies (www.moveomed.de).
