Melbourne Rapid Fields (MRF) is an online based vision system developed by GLANCE Optical, The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and The University of Melbourne. It is designed for clinic based and home-monitoring of vision problems caused by Glaucoma, Age-related macular degeneration, Retinal conditions, and Neurological conditions that affects the visual field (including multiple sclerosis, optic neuritis) MRF Rapid vision system is registered with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia, Medsafe (NZ), CE Mark (EU), UKCA (UK) as a perimetry device. MRF Rapid vision system is meticulously designed to perform vision and visual field testing on any digital screen device for the purpose of (1) Allowing patients to monitor vision at home and (2) Allowing doctors/optometrists/general practitioners to perform visual field tests (perimetry) for patients in the clinic. MRF is currently suitable for most iPad devices and web-browser software is suitable for most tablet, desktop or laptop devices. MRF is currently used by more than 280 clinics globally and is validated in more than 15 peer-review publications.
