The Medical Technology Association of India (MTaI) is a not-for-profit industry association that represents research-based medical technology companies in India. It focuses on improving access to affordable and quality healthcare by advocating for policies that support innovation and manufacturing in the medical device sector. MTaI collaborates with the Government of India, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to promote initiatives like the ‘Make in India’ campaign. MTaI engages in various activities, including policy advocacy, industry representation, and training programs. It operates 15 R&D centers and 13 manufacturing plants, training over 250,000 healthcare professionals annually. The association also organizes events such as MedTekon, which serves as a platform for dialogue among industry leaders and policymakers. Through its efforts, MTaI aims to enhance the domestic MedTech ecosystem and ensure the availability of high-quality medical technologies for patients in India.
