NICU Innovations by NICU Parents Neovate aims to provide parents and caregivers of NICU patients, affordable solutions to ease their journey through the NICU and support their transition home. Our products are designed from a NICU parents' point of view, based on real life experiences from our daughters NICU journey, and then life at home with a tracheostomy & ventilator dependency. This insight allows us to develop solutions for problems that may seem smallest, but their impact is greatest mentally, physically, and emotionally for the baby and their parents. September 24, 2020, we became parents for the first time to our now 3-year-old daughter, when she came 3 months early, at 24 weeks 6 days, weighing only 1lb 13oz. That moment was the beginning of her 6-month NICU journey filled with countless highs and lows. That moment also marked something else for us. It was when our "why" started to take shape and was the spark that gave light to what is now Neovate. It's both amazing, and equally humbling to think back and realize how something as small as a moment in time, or 1lb 13oz, can have such a large impact on your life. It took almost 3 years for us to realize that as difficult as a NICU journey is, there will eventually be something great that comes from it. For us, the journey gave the experience, insight, and means to support other NICU families who find themselves walking the hard NICU road.
