NeuroEmpathy is a clinical stage medical device startup, developing a non-invasive, home-use treatment for painful diabetic neuropathy (PDN), aimed at revolutionising accessibility and treatment, worldwide. NeuroEmpathy makes it easy for patients with painful diabetic neuropathy to treat themselves at home just by putting on a pair of e-socks and clicking play on the app. At the same time, the powerful backend is able to optimise and personalise treatment and share information with healthcare practitioners while maintaining compliance with patient data requirements. Patients may have their pain gradually reduced or eliminated after use for 6 to 8 weeks to levels that will allow them to be able to sleep at night and function better during the day. Patients who use the solution early on when there is only loss of sensation, but not yet pain, may slow or arrest the progression of the disease and avoid the debilitating pain altogether.
