Children were born to see the future – at NovaSight, we make sure they can
NovaSight vision is to prevent pediatric vision loss by bringing together the power of eye-tracking and AI technologies.
Our disruptive solutions for screening and treatment of common childhood vision impairments are specially designed for the unique needs and attention spans of children.
Preventable vision loss: a global challenge
Amblyopia (lazy-eye) impacts 3% of the population. Although treatable, delayed diagnosis and outdated treatment methods often result in partial vision loss. The gold standard treatment method of placing a patch over the dominant eye, suffers from low compliance and sub-optimal results.
For this purpose, NovaSight had developed CureSight™ – eye-tracking based system for amblyopia treatment. The treatment is carried out using sophisticated real time 3D image processing algorithms, all while the child watches their favorite movie or TV program in the comfort of their home.
At the same time, the system can monitor the treatment progress of the child in real time, provide feedback to the care givers through tele-medicine features and auto adjust the treatment protocol using AI and big data technologies.
Legacy screening methods fall short
Traditional vision assessment methods undergone by hundreds of millions of children worldwide every year are not sufficiently effective to detect many visual impairments including amblyopia, are manual, subjective, time consuming and often inaccurate; especially for toddlers who can’t always understand examiner instructions or communicate what they’re seeing.
In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of children’s vision assessment, NovaSight has developed EyeSwift® – an automated, portable and easy-to-use eye-tracking based system. The system monitors the patient’s eye movements and provides accurate and objective assessments of numerous vision impairments, within seconds.
