OPSL is concerned with solid organ preservation solutions. The technology was developed out of Leeds NHS teaching hospitals by Professor Peter Lodge and colleagues. Incorporated in 2016, OPSL's aim is to commercialise the extensive R+D into static cold solutions carried out at St James's University Hospital, Leeds. The first product will be 'Leeds Solutions - Abdominal' (LS-A). St James's University Hospital is internationally renowned as the largest teaching hospital in Europe.
