Opus Tec is an inventive medical device start-up that aims to redesign long established medical processes by prioritising patient experience and effective recovery. Bedridden patients in hospitals can suffer from debilitating side-effects such as degradation of muscle strength, slowing blood flow, pressure sores and constipation. With Minerva Medical, we are aiming to reduce the number of patients who are unnecessarily bedridden while undergoing constant ECG monitoring by introducing a wireless solution. Additional benefits include optimising workflows for nurses and other medical staff by removing the burdens which come with wired technology.
