OrthoXel’s focus is on developing innovative surgeon-driven trauma fixation systems that are intuitive to use and improve patient outcomes while delivering value to the health care system. OrthoXel’s design philosophy centers on the belief that trauma devices should be multi-functional to give the surgeon the flexibility to choose the fixation that is right for each patient.
Our clinically driven, evidence-based design process ensures that the best clinical research in fracture care is used to inspire devices that provide biomechanically optimal fixation. We bring this research-based approach to everything we do and we believe that better care starts with better implants designed with the surgeon in mind.
The unique Apex Tibial Nailing System with micromotion and multimode locking now has US FDA 510(k) regulatory approval and the European CE Mark approval. Clinical use is underway at Cork University Hospital with over 10 patients implanted with the Apex Tibial Nailing System so far.
