Pad-Shield are disposable imaging mattress covers used on procedural mattresses to help minimize contaminants and body fluids from reaching the surface. These covers help the prevention of blood, urine, betadine, chlorhexidine solution, or any fluids reaching and staining a mattress pad. Simply put a cover over the mattress and place a linen sheet over it. Once done with a procedure, you can use the linen sheet that was originally placed over the mattress to help move a patient from procedural to stretcher much easier.
