Penn Health-Tech is a center at the University of Pennsylvania focused on advancing health technology innovation. Established in 2017, it connects innovators within the university, including Penn Medicine and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, to resources and expertise. The center aims to translate biomedical breakthroughs into practical health solutions. One of its key offerings is the Health-Tech Accelerator Program, which supports early-stage health technology projects with funding, expert advising, and commercialization guidance. Since its launch, the program has assisted 96 teams and facilitated over $2.7 million in funding. Penn Health-Tech also provides innovation facilitation, connecting researchers and clinicians with industry partners, and offers educational programs that cover medical device development and commercialization.
