Pepric instruments and services: monitor the fate of stem cells and magnetic particles in the body. For (stem) cell therapies and for magnetic particle therapies, it is crucial to understand the fate of the cells and of the particles in the body when administered. In preclinical trials the biodistribution and migration of the cells and particles is assessed for dose optimization, safety and efficacy tests, for which detection and quantification of the cells and particles is crucial. Pepric develops instruments for accurate quantification of magnetic nanoparticles in tissue and blood based on its proprietary pEPR method, a time and cost efficient method that does not require the use of radio-probes or transfection of reporter genes.
