PiCTArm is swiss start-up developing a low radiation 2D/3D spectral imaging device integrated to a surgical table designed primarily for neurosurgeons and orthopedics. Imaging system includes innovative geometry for repetitive imaging steps to capture 3D information and energy-resolving cutting edge detectors using microtube enabling energy discrimination thresholds and multi-material segmentation. PiCTArm will surpass technologically all the existing solutions helping surgeons to improve their practice. This integrated ergonomic operating table improves the accuracy of surgical procedures reducing significantly operating time and radiation emission to patients, medical staff and consequently cancer induced rate prevalence due to excessive dose exposure. PiCTArm will be developed for spinal surgery (rachis) allowing adaptive auto exposure AEC, continuous adaptations of acquisition parameters (KV, mAs, Exposure) regarding thickness and patient profile composition resulting in significant reductions in dosage, orthopedic surgery, interventional radiology, traumatology and ORL.
