PneumaCare® Ltd is a Cambridge (UK)-based company providing clinicians with respiratory diagnostic and monitoring equipment using novel 3D imaging technology. The Company's Thora-3Di® product family are revolutionary non–contact respiratory monitoring systems providing richer information on a broader patient population without the need to breathe into, interact with, or contact the apparatus. Non-contact assessments also reduce risk of infection and instrument running costs. Thora-3Di® is being used in clinics, pre- and post-operative assessments, drug testing, and device development by both public and private health care providers. Further applications of PneumaCare's proprietary Structured Light Plethysmography technology include home care, neonatal, critical care, and rehabilitation applications. In 2011 PneumaCare® won the overall Best Business Proposition and the Best Business Proposition in the Respiratory Category at the 2011 Medical Futures Innovations Awards as well being a finalist in the Cambridge News Business Awards and a Red Herring European 100. The Company has received CE mark approval for its lead product Thora-3Di® and has appointed European distributors. FDA approval has been applied for.
