About
We are developing the first FDA approved, medical device to slow or stop progression of cognitive impairment resulting from stroke or other forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. A headset detects brainwave signals which are then analyzed using machine learning to detect patterns associated with cognition. When cognition patterns are detected, the volume of music in the headset increases. This process takes dedication by the user. The use of music calms and provides enjoyment during the process. According to the World Health Organization, in 2021, more than 55 million people were living with dementia worldwide, and there are nearly 10 million new cases every year. Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia and may contribute to 60-70% of the cases. Global cognitive assessment and training in healthcare market was valued at USD 4.12 billion in 2021 and is expected to reach USD 43.7 billion by 2029. The U.S. holds a majority of the market share due to the rapidly aging population vulnerable to neurodegenerative diseases. Market drivers include the aging global population, increasing awareness of brain fitness, and advancements in technology.
