Typical breathing support devices currently utilise "open-circuit" designs that vent significant amounts of valuable oxygen within the exhaled air-mix into the surrounding atmosphere. Filtered exhaled air-mix can only reduce virus material when contained in airway surface fluid droplets or larger aerosol particles. The Iso-Vent is a novel "closed-circuit" medical respiratory support device. It eliminates CO2 and preserves oxygen while ensuring safe breathing support and will satisfy UK, EU and other Medical Device Regulation Classifications.
