Redsense Medical

To improve patient safety, Redsense Medical has developed a monitoring system that can detect the very first sign of a blood leak using patented fiber optic technology. An alarm is triggered when the sensor comes into contact with blood so one can address the issue immediately and stop the blood flow. Redsense also follows IEC Public Available Standard (PAS) 63023; if the dialysis machine does as well, these devices can connect and communicate and the blood flow will be stopped automatically when blood is detected. Redsense is easy to use and offers both a venous fistula and central catheter solution. The system is CE marked and FDA cleared for sales in the USA, and available for all dialysis providers. Redsense Medical is a corporate group with operations in Europe and the United States. Redsense solves one of the most serious remaining safety problems within hemodialysis – to quickly detect venous needle dislodgement and catheter leakage.
